Laser Tattoo Removal

Tattoos often lose their appeal after some time. Whether acquired in your younger years that just no longer suits, to a more recent piece of body art that doesn’t seem to be boding well, Eternel Polyclinic can help you.
Our Specialist Dermatologist specializes in safely and effectively removing tattoos, no matter how deep, old or big they may be. During your consultation, we can determine the number of sessions you will need for your specific tattoo.

How Does It Work?

Tattoos are created when ink is injected deep within layers of the skin’s dermis. The dermis layer does not shed, making the appearance of tattoos permanent. In order to remove any tattoo, the skin cells that hold the ink need to be targeted. Using advanced Spectra Q-Switched laser technology, wavelength heat is applied at the optimum level to target and break down the ink. Through the body’s natural healing process, the broken ink particles are then removed naturally over time. The superior quality of the laser technology means that ink of all ages and colours can be removed with minimal side-effects.

Result & Recovery

The procedure is completely safe, but is not entirely pain free due to the heat treatment from the lasers. You can expect to see immediate results, however a course of treatments are usually necessary to completely remove tattoos. While your tattoo will be nearly completely removed, there may still be some slight traces of it depending on how high the quality of the ink was.

FAQs

Can the tattoo be removed completely?
Many tattoos can be removed entirely, but some may leave a faint trace or “ghost” image, especially if the tattoo was deep, large, or done with resistant ink colors. However, most patients see significant fading after a full series of treatments.
There is minimal downtime after laser tattoo removal. Most people can return to normal activities right away, although there may be some temporary redness, swelling, or blistering in the treated area.
Black and dark-colored inks are the easiest to remove. Lighter colors like green, yellow, and blue may take more sessions and be more challenging to fade. Modern lasers are more effective in targeting a wide range of colors, but some colors may still be more resistant.
